1) What is silicone?

Silicone is a man-made material that is sourced from silica, a type of sand. Even though it is man-made, it was made specially to be non-toxic and hypoallergenic. The material can withstand heat and cold without leaching off harmful chemicals, unlike other polymers.

2) Is silicone toxic for children?

FDA Approved food grade silicone is a non-toxic type of silicone that does not contain any chemical by-products making it completely safe to use with food for babies. It is safe to be used in devices like Microwave, freezer, oven, dishwasher and is safe for food-storage.

3) Why are toddler products made of silicone?

Our products are made of Silicone, which is a very soft material, much like rubber. Bowls and plates made of silicone won’t break into several sharp pieces when dropped, making them safe for your child. Plus, they are easier to clean and store.

4) Are the products dishwasher and microwave safe?

Silicone is extremely durable, which means it's safe in nearly all appliances. Heat safe up to 220°C so you can cook or reheat your little one's favourite foods in a snap! If you've warmed it up too much, you can go straight from the microwave to freeze for a quick cool down. It can be safely boiled to sterilize and can be cleaned in the dishwasher as well.

5) Returns and Refunds

We want you to be happy! We will gladly provide a refund for unused mats returned within 10 days of purchase. We are unable to accept items that have been used. For returns please email us at hello@mypurplepanda.com with your order ID items you want to return.
